World newspaper coverage of climate change or global warming on decline

According to a study from the Center for Science & Technology Policy Research, world newspaper coverage of 'climate change' or 'global warming' has been on a declining trend since 2007 to some of the lowest levels since the study began in 2004. Coverage spiked shortly after the premier of Gore's science fiction movie An Inconvenient Truth and following Climategate I, but the biggest threat to mankind appears to no longer be as newsworthy.
This figure tracks newspaper coverage of climate change or global warming in 50 newspapers across 20 countries and 6 continents
A victim of the cry wolf syndrome perhaps?
